a collective and political representation of domestic space open for constant improvement and study. browse & contribute!
consciously and unconsciously we adapt, improvise and thus innovate our domestic spaces. things may not function sufficiently, needing innovative subversion to repurpose objects, spaces and entire households. on a practical and political level, we can share proactive approaches to function and space through adaptation and conversion, as seen in these images. improvization here is largely due to a lack of better living conditions, but in between there are domestic breakthroughs, figuratively and literally speaking. we call these breakthroughs acts of invention. if a wife must cook for guests whose presence she cannot enjoy, break open the wall between the kitchen and the living room!
